1. Gelaro Rosa
Gelarto Rosa is a small island of traditional Italian gelato in a highlighted spot of Budapest. 3. Damniczki Patisserie
Damniczki is newcomer in Budapest: with two patisseries on the countryside and several award-winning sweets, they opened their first place in the capital not far from Szabadság square. Besides the cookies and cakes, they offer 48 kind of ice-cream specialties. They are famous for experimenting with extreme tastes on a very high quality with great success: their raspberry – red wine ice-cream won the Gelato Of The Year Award in 2013, and they created the Cake of Hungary in 2014. If you are heading to the House of Parliament, don’t forget to drop-by for a scoop of malt – ginger, this year’s silver medal-winning gelato.

4. Mamo Gelato
Salve, vuole un gelato o una granita? At MAMO, you definitely do. If you are into traditional tastes and natural ingredients, this Italian artisanal ice-cream place is for you. Simone, the owner creates the selection of gelatos depending on the season: he gets the ingredients from the local market which define the daily selection. The scoops are not only tasty but healthy too: they use only fresh, raw ingredients with the hightest quality. If the ice-creams wouldn’t be enough, they make refreshing Granitas and Ice-Bons for the hottest summer days. If you are near the Great Market Hall, don’t miss it.

5. Popsi
The name is referring to popsicles, but not in Hungarian: it means something more cheeky. Not only this makes POPSI adorable: the popsicles contain 100% fruit. Chose from the classical tastes, such as green apple, apricot, orange, coconut, passion fruit, cherry or pineapple while heading to Szimpla.
